General Notes: Husband - Hon. David Wilson Shryock
He was a publisher and editor at Greensburg, Pennsylvania, and a bank cashier at Mount Pleasant and Greensburg; he was a Delegate to the National Convention, which nominated Abraham Lincoln in 1860 and in later years was a Collector of Internal Revenue.
He was a native of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, born eight miles north of Greensburg, on a farm which his grandfather purchased in 1782, for "forty-five pounds, Pennsylvania currency," the deed of which was registered on page 55 of volume i. of Westmoreland County records of deeds.
