General Notes: Husband - Jacob Stamm, Sr.
He learned the tanner's trade, and followed that occupation for several years. In 1837 he purchased a farm in Forward township, Butler County, PA, consisting of 212 acres, to which he afterwards added seventy-eight acres. Mr. Stamm cleared and improved this farm. In early life he was a Democrat, but on the formation of the Republican party he joined that organization. He was one of the pioneer member of St. John's Reformed church of Evans City.
