General Notes: Husband - William G. Pore

Jacobs Creek, Westmoreland Co, PA

He was brought up on his father's farm. After his marriage he conducted in partnership with his brother-in-law, Oliver P. Shupe, a general store at Jacob's Creek, Pennsylvania, for three years. Mr. Shupe then bought him out, and Mr. Pore was made ticket agent for the Baltimore & Ohio railroad at Jacob's Creek. About six years later he retired, but continued to live at Jacob's Creek, which was his home for the rest of his life. He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. He was a Democrat.
