General Notes: Husband - Oliver Porter Pore
He attended public school at Jacob's Creek, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. After leaving school he became bookkeeper for Osborne, Zeiger & Company, and remained in their employment for three years. In 1899 he began working for the Pittsburgh Coal Company. For one year he was assistant bookkeeper at Van Meter. In 1900 he was made chief clerk at the offices at Whitsett, for Banning mine Number Two. He built in 1909, a fine cottage at Perryopolis, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, and lived in it from that time. He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons, Fayette City Lodge, No. 252; the Lodge of Perfection, at Uniontown; and the Consistory, in Pittsburgh. In politics he was a Republican.
