He resigned his position with Capt. J. J. Vandergrift to enter the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated from the Dental Department in 1894 and began the practice of his profession in Philadelphia, later removing to Pittsburgh.
He was a member of the Odontological Society of Western Pennsylvania, the Lake Erie Dental Society, serving as president of both organizations, a member of the Pennsylvania State Dental Society, the American Dental Association and a member of the Pittsburgh Chapter, S. A. R.
