He was one of the early settlers of Franklin County, Pennsylvania. [GPHWP, 117]

He was a farmer and cabinet maker, was among the earliest settlers of Franklin township, [Beaver County, Pennsylvania?] and died in Mahoning County, Ohio, about 1853, at the age of ninety-seven years. [HBC 1888, 778]
