General Notes: Husband - Isaac Wilson
He obtained a good practical education in the district schools of his native township, and on starting out in life for himself engaged in rafting on the river and lumbering in connection with agricultural pursuits, commencing at the age of fourteen years, and following the same for forty years. Later in life, however, he gave his exclusive attention to farming with most gratifying results. In 1862 he purchased a farm of 202 acres, known as the Stewart farm, of which fifty acres had been cleared, eventually eighty acres were placed under the plow and yielded a ready return for the care and labor bestowed upon them.
He was a stalwart supporter of the Republican party. He was a prominent and leading member of the United Brethren Church, and was one of the organizers and promoters of the Bigler camp meeting.
