General Notes: Husband - John Potts


He was a farmer and resided the greater part of his life in Jefferson and Armstrong counties, Pennsylvania. He was a strict Lutheran and transmitted to his descendants a partiality for that denomination.

He was born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and lived for some time in Porter township, Jefferson County, afterward coming to Red Bank township, Armstrong County, where he engaged in farming. He was a Democrat and a member of the German Lutheran Church.

He and his wife had five sons and eight daughters. Another source states, five sons and seven daughters.
