He was born in Ireland and came to the United States with his parents in 1803. He was married and a daughter was born to him circa 1805. No information was found about his wife, nor when he married, nor whether there were more children. He was named executor of his father's estate, but did not receive any legacy. Since he was named as an executor it seems likely that some provision or earlier settlement had taken place.
