General Notes: Husband - Thomas Barnes
In 1803, John and Thomas Barnes came direct from Ireland, and located first in Jackson township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania, on land later owned by John L. Barnes, in September of that year. The farm on which they located, in Jackson township, comprised 100 acres of fine land. [HMC 1877, 36]
He was born in Ireland, married there, and came to America in 1803.
He and his wife are believed to have been buried in Springfield Cemetery, Mercer County, Pennsylvania.
