General Notes: Husband - John Barnhart
He was born on the old Barnhart homestead. Later in life he went with his brother William H. to a spot near Hannastown, and there settled, and still later made his home in Greensburg for a time. He inherited the old family homestead from his father, and there carried on farming during practically his entire life. He was a Republican in politics and held the office of school director for a number of years, and in his religious belief was a member of the Reformed church of Mount Pleasant and was a deacon and elder in that church for a number of years.
