General Notes: Husband - John Barnhart

He was known as "Honey John" and "Apple John" from his skill in bee and fruit culture, and also to distinguish him from two other John Barnharts, cousins.

He was the owner of two hundred and twelve acres, and was one of the most successful farmers in the region. In 1840 he built a brick house on the farm.
He was a strong Democrat.

He was one of the active members of the Reformed church, who organized the Second Reformed congregation of Greensburg. He was on the building committee, and was one of the best contributors to the church which was dedicated in 1852. He was an elder in this congregation until his death.

Notes: Marriage

He and his wife had seven children, of whom four were still living in 1890.
