General Notes: Husband - Thomas Wilson

He was a native of County Down, Ireland, and immigrated to the United States in 1793, with his wife and three sons. In 1827 the family came from Mifflin township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, where the settlement was first made, and the father and sons each took up a tract of 400 acres in what is now Jackson township, Butler County.

He was a native of Tyrone, County Down, Ireland, and he, with his wife and all of his family except his son Barney, landed in Philadelphia in 1793, and shortly thereafter started for western Pennsylvania. His wife and son, George, died of fever while crossing the mountains. The family originally settled in Allegheny County, and Thomas Wilson with his daughter Nancy and his daughter Ellen, and his three sons, Andrew, James and Thomas, settled on a tract of about one thousand acres of land lying between Evans City and Zelienople. Thomas Wilson died at this residence, later known as the Henry Greenawalt farm.
