General Notes: Husband - Clark B. Norris
Pike Twp, Clearfield Co, PA - a farmer
From fourteen years of age, he worked in the lumber woods during the winter season, in the spring time rafting his own lumber down the river to market. After his marriage he also engaged in farming on his own account, initially operating a rented farm for about ten years. In 1879 he purchased his own farm, comprising what was then known as the Andy Tozer and Balsard Rocker farms, consisting of 140 acres, 100 of which were under cultivation and improved with excellent buildings. His home was situated about a mile and a half south of Curwensville. He took an active interest in public affairs, uniformly voted the Republican ticket, and served as auditor of his township, and constable four years. He and his wife were earnest members of the Methodist Church.
