General Notes: Husband - Daniel M. Shaw

He was born on the old Shaw homestead, near Delmont, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and died there at the age of sixty-four years. Like his father before him, he made his home on the old place all his life and was a prominent member in the State Militia. He was an officer in a regiment during the Pittsburgh riots of 1874 when the Union Depot was burned and distinguished himself in the fighting that then occurred.
