General Notes: Husband - Henry Barnes


He learned the millwright trade with his father, who had erected many mills. He became a general machinist, and made over one hundred and fifty inventions and improvements, among them being a saw stretcher, a propeller for boats, water wheels, water regulator for sawmills, &c.
