General Notes: Husband - John Barr

---

He immigrated to America in 1816, and after a six weeks' voyage landed at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, later locating with his family in Somerset township, Washington County, where the remainder of their lives was passed. He was a Democrat in his political preferences, and in religion a member of the Seceder Church.

He brought his family to America in 1819 and settled in the upper end of Somerset Township. He was accompanied by his brothers. [TCHWWC, 728]
