General Notes: Husband - John Milsom

---

He was born in Bristol, England, and when seven years of age started to work in the mines there. In 1865 he came to America, landing the day of President Lincoln's assassination, and he at once went to Brookfield, Ohio, where he secured work in the mines. After ten or twelve years there he went to Mercer County, Pennsylvania, as a miner, and in April, 1887, came to Allport, Pennsylvania. He eventually became mine foreman for the Berwin White Coal Company, at Smoke Run, Clearfield County, with which concern he was connected for over fourteen years.
