General Notes: Husband - Joseph Longanecker
He owned a farm of one hundred and ten acres in Nicholson township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, and rented adjoining land in order to provide for his fifteen children. In the winter he dug coal which he sold for one cent per bushel. He was a leading member of the German Baptist church, never missing a Sunday service if able to attend. He was a strong Democrat and espoused the cause of that party with all his great energy.
