Perry Twp, Lawrence Co, PA

After leaving school he was more or less the operator of the home farm and after the death of his father owned the property.

His farm of 202 acres was in Perry Township, four miles northeast of Ellwood City. He was born on a farm two miles north of this one, on which he lived since he was two years of age.
The family belonged to the United Presbyterian Church. Politically, Mr. Smith was a stanch Republican and served as township assessor.
