General Notes: Husband - Hamilton McWilliams
He was a farmer, a member of the "Seceder" church while it existed, and later a Presbyterian. He was a democrat until 1860 when he became a republican. He was an active, energetic man of strong mind and well versed in business methods, doing for others much writing and business that required more than ordinary intelligence.
