General Notes: Husband - Marshall McDonald

From his earliest business days, which began as soon as he had completed his youthful studies, he was engaged in the business of shipping coal, acquiring the reputation of being one of the largest shippers in that section and owning several boats which were constantly in use on the Ohio river. He built up a steady and lucrative business, and at his death was the possessor of a comfortable competence.
