General Notes: Husband - Henry D. Shuster
He was born at Winells Crossroads, one mile west of Leechburg, Pennsylvania, in the house that was built by his father a short time prior to the son's birth. At the time of his father's death, the old farm was placed on sale by the estate and Mr. Shuster himself was appointed administrator. However, he and his two sisters decided not to let the property pass out of the possession of the family and accordingly bought it for themselves. The property consisted of sixty acres, to the cultivation of which Mr. Shuster then devoted himself. In 1903 he became the carrier of mail from Leechburg, under the rural free delivery system, and had charge of Route No. 3, serving the Westmoreland county side of the river and being the first carrier on that route.
He was an independent Democrat in politics, and both he and his wife were members of the First Lutheran Church.
General Notes: Wife - Emma McCullough
