General Notes: Husband - Alexander McCullough


He was born in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, and was reared and educated in Armstrong County, where he learned the trade of a millwright. This calling, in conjunction with the carpenter's trade, he followed for fifty-five years. For the last thirty-five years of his life he resided in Allegheny township, Westmoreland County, where he owned an estate of eighty-eight acres which was devoted to general farming. The property was previously owned by John Hull. Mr. McCullough erected all his farm buildings and greatly improved the place. He held the office of supervisor of the township. He gave to the Republican party the aid of his vote and influence, and was a member of the Presbyterian church. [HWC 1906 iii, 571]

He was a native of Ireland, and came to America in early youth. [ONW, 1203]
He died at the age of eighty-four years.
