General Notes: Husband - Newton Bailey

Civil War: He enlisted from Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, in the famous "Bucktail" regiment, and died from an accident which occurred while he was on furlough. [CBRCP-CCJC, 658]

He served through the Civil War, removed to Iowa, and afterward returned to Pennsylvania, where he died, his death resulting from exposure and hardships endured in the army. [CBRCP-CCJC, 605]
