He married and from Washington County, Pennsylvania, they removed to Guernsey County, Ohio, near Cambridge, where they settled on a tract of land. Here they lived until his death.

After her husband's death, she spent her later years among her children and other relatives. It is known that she was living with her sister, Mrs. Rosannah Lyle Reed, at McKay in Ashland County, Ohio, in April, 1859, and her death may have occurred at the Reed home, for she died on October 2 of that year.

They had a family of six sons and three daughters; of these only three, Robert Lyle, Moses and John Moore Wallace, married and had families.
