Laura Lusher, Registered Nurse, Dies
Miss Laura Lusher of 14115 Western Ave., Blue Island, Ill. a registered nurse formerly employed in the Franklin Hospital, died Sunday evening in Chicago, according to word received here.
Miss Lusher was born in Rockland, a daughter of L. J. and Belle French Lusher.
She had lived in the Chicago area for the past 20 years.
Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Alta Crousore of Chicago.
Removal will be made to the Charles A. Morrison Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements will be announced.

Laura Lusher
Funeral services were held in the Charles A. Morrison Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Friday for Laura Lusher, daughter of the late James Link Lusher and Mollie Belle French Lusher.
Miss Lusher died Sunday night in the Chicago Osteopathic Hospital.
Rev. Dwight Montgomery of the Sligo Methodist Church officiated.
Interment was in the Rockland Cemetery, the final resting place of her family and ancestors who were original early settlers in Pennsylvania.
Miss Lusher was born in Rockland, graduated from elementary and high school in Oblong, Ill., and from St. Louis City Hospital Nurses Training School in 1924. She practiced nursing in Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Illinois.
Since 1947 she had been the industrial nurse in charge of the first aid medical department of Maremont Corporation, Harvey, Ill. In memory of her work, the supervisory staff, office force and union employes have made a donation toward the tuition for a student in Presbyterian St. Luke's School of Nursing.
Pallbearers were Ronald and Ernest French, Lawrence Smith, George Lusher and Robert Montgomery.
Attending from a distance was Miss Lusher's sister, Alta of Chicago.
