General Notes: Husband - David Tomb

He was justice of the peace for fifteen years.

He was an extensive farmer and live-stock dealer, was a stanch democrat, and served as justice of the peace for four terms. He held various other of the township offices, and was an acknowledged leader of his party.
At the time of his death he owned four hundred acres of land, of which two hundred were well-improved and the other half well-timbered and heavily underlaid with coal.
