General Notes: Husband - David Tomb

He was born and reared in County Antrim, Ireland, which he left in 1792 to settle on Black Lick creek, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, where he and his brother John patented a tract of over two thousand acres of land. He was a farmer and resided near Armagh, the oldest town in the county, which was named for Armagh in Ireland. Indians were still plentiful at that time, and one of their grave-yards was on Mr. Tomb's farm. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church.
