General Notes: Husband - Edward O'Neill

His father was a native of Ireland, and coming to America in young manhood settled in Centre County, Pennsylvania, where he spent the remainder of his life.

He and his wife settled in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, about 1834 near Shelocta, and about 1836, moved to Diamondville. [HIC 1880, 535]

He was born in Centre County, Pennsylvania, and in 1840 came to Indiana County and settled near Shelocta, afterward removing to Mitchells Mills, where he conducted a store and flour mill as member of the firm of Mitchell & O'Neill. Subsequently he located on a farm later owned by his son, and there he spent the balance of his life in agricultural pursuits and in conducting a sawmill.
