He was interested in the lumber business, and had a saw mill near the Shawanee bottoms, in Green township, Indiana County, Pennsylvania.

Civil War: he served during the Civil war as a private in Company A, 67th Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry.


General Notes: Wife - Nancy Walker


She was a granddaughter of Benjamin Walker, a frontier scout in the Indian wars.
