General Notes: Husband - John Kelley

He served in the Revolutionary army with Washington at Valley Forge.

He was born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and moved to Erie County about the year 1800, locating on the shore of Lake Erie, a short distance east of the wild lands at the mouth of Elk creek. In 1802 he purchased from the State reserve tract No. 27, known for three-quarters of a century as the Butt farm. There he died, and was buried on the shore of the lake.

General Notes: Wife - Mary Robinson

She died at the house of her daughter, Mrs. Barr.

Notes: Marriage

The first glimpse he ever had of his future wife, Mary Robinson, was when crossing some mountains during the war of 1776, along with other soldiers, he overtook
a maiden driving some sheep, gallantly assisted her over a part of the rugged hills,
and subsequently married her.
