General Notes: Husband - Benjamin F. Klepper

---

When about twenty years old Mr. Klepper located in Sugar Valley, Clinton County, Pennsylvania. His school privileges were limited, but he eagerly perused books and became a well informed man. He was a carpenter by occupation. He served as School Director for twenty years; also served as Mercantile Appraiser and Census Enumerator. He was an Odd Fellow, and he and his wife were leading members and liberal contrributors of the Lutheran Church. He was an elder and Sunday School Superintendent for many years. He was a Democrat in politics.
