Salem Twp, Westmoreland Co, PA; New Salem [Delmont]

Soon after marriage they moved to Salem township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, where he cleared from the wilderness sufficient land for a farm, which he cultivated and brought to a high state of development and from which he drew the livelihood of himself and his family. He was the owner of a saw mill on the White Thorn creek. His death occurred at the age of sixty-nine years, and he was survived by his wife, who continued to live on the old farm until the year 1895.
