General Notes: Husband - William Sweeney
He was born in Ireland, and accompanied his father to the United States. He was a tailor and followed the trade, at the same time cultivating his farm of three hundred acres. He held several township offices.
He was born in Ireland and at the age of twenty-four emigrated to the United States. He settled in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, where for a number of years he worked at his trade, that of a tailor. Later in life he moved to Westmoreland County, where he purchased three hundred acres of farm land from William McKer. In politics he was a Democrat and in religion a Presbyterian.
Of the eleven children born to him and his wife, five were still living in 1906.
