General Notes: Husband - Alexander Sweeney

He was born in Loyalhanna township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, reared on his father's farm and educated in the common schools of Indiana County. In 1861 the family moved to Westmoreland County, where his father purchased the farm upon which he passed the remainder of his life. This farm is now owned by his sons, Alexander Sweeney possessing half. It was situated in Allegheny township. In 1888 Mr. Sweeney left the farm and thereafter resided near Apollo, in what was known as Oklahoma. In this place, also, he was the owner of property, and held the office of school director.
