General Notes: Husband - John W. Jamison
He came to the United States from Ireland in the year 1771, and soon after landing settled in Hagerstown, Maryland, whence he subsequently removed to Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Here he learned the trades of wheel-wright and chair making. Soon after marriage he removed to Martinsburg, Virginia. In 1799, the family removed to Greensburg, Westmoreland County, and two years later to Conemaugh township, Indiana County. He enlisted in the War of 1812,
He was born in Ireland and came in 1769 with his father to Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
He and family settled in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, in 1797, and shortly thereafter removed to the Shryock farm, near Dennison's town or New Alexandria. In 1801, the family removed to a place on the Conemaugh river, two miles below Ebenezer Church [Indiana County, Pennsylvania?], and twelve years later they located on a farm in Washington township, later owned by George Tucker.
He was a soldier in the War of 1812, and connected with the early militia companies of the county.
