General Notes: Husband - John Kincaide
He was a lad of nine years when the family settlement was made in Erie County, Pennsylvania, and there he grew to manhood, aiding in the clearing and cultivation of the tract upon which his father settled. During the war of 1812-14 he served with the militia at Erie, ranking as sergeant, although then barely past his minority. He was stationed at Erie at the time of Perry's victory over the English on Lake Erie. He was a landowner and farmer.
