General Notes: Husband - Elah Johnson
He became a millwright by trade and later owned saw mills in different parts of Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, and also a farm of 160 acres in Greenwood township. He was a lifelong Democrat and served one term as county commissioner in Clearfield County and a number of terms as school director in Penn township. He was a member of the Society of Friends.
