General Notes: Husband - John Watson
He was born and reared in Canonsburg, Washington County, Pennsylvania, and during his younger days followed the trade of a tanner. Preferring, however, the free and independent life of a farmer, he bought land two miles from New Wilmington, Lawrence County, and was there a resident until 1885. Coming then to Mercer County, he purchased a farm in Jefferson Township, and was there a tiller of the soil until his death, at the age of seventy-one years.
General Notes: Wife - Lucinda Ashby
She was left an orphan in childhood, and was brought up by an aunt. She passed away in the eighty-second year of her age.
