General Notes: Husband - John W. Hill
He was born in Allegheny township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. In early life he came to Armstrong County and was engaged in farming until 1884, when he moved to near Greenville, Mercer County, where he purchased a well-improved farm. He was a democrat from principle, held various township offices and belonged to the Lutheran church, in which he served as an officer at different times.

They were the parents of six children; five were still living in 1897.
