He was a resident of Warren County, Pennsylvania, where he owned a hundred-acre farm, situated one mile from the village of Tidioute. He was a man of more than ordinary mould, and served through the War of 1812-14, and died at the age of eighty years. He was a devout member of the Methodist Episcopal church.
He and his wife had a family of ten children, all of whom grew to maturity.
