General Notes: Husband - Jonathan Hoge
He received a liberal education and was brought up a farmer. He was a justice of the peace from 1764 to the Revolution; was a member of the Constitutional Convention of July 15, 1776; member ot the Assembly in 1776, and again from 1778 to 1783; member of the Supreme Executive Council from March 4, 1777, to November 9, 1778, and from November 3. 1784, to October 20, 1787; member of the Council of Safety from October to December, 1777; one of the commissioners to remove the public loan office in September, 1777; one of the committee to superintend the drawing of the Donation Land Lottery, October 2, 1786; member of the Board of Property in 1785-6; and by Gov. Mifliin appointed one of the Associate Judes of Cumberland county, August 17, 1791. He finally died of paralysis when seventy-five years old.
