General Notes: Husband - John Hoge
The oldest son of his father, he never went to Virginia to reside. He was born at Perth Amboy, New Jersey, went with his father to Penns' Three Lower counties (now the state of Delaware) and there married. He and his wife removed to East Pennsboro' township, Lancaster (later Cumberland) County, Pennsylvania, about the year 1730 (probably three or four years previous), where he afterwards purchased a considerable body of land from the Penns. He died there, probably toward the latter end of October, 1754, his will being probated on the 19th of the month following.
General Notes: Wife - Gwenthleen Bowen
John Hogue (or Hoge) married Guintheleum Bowen (said to have been a descendant of the royal family of Wales), who, after her marriage, still retained and was known by her maiden name. It is stated that it was the money obtained from the sale of her jewels which purchased their lands in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. [HCC 1886, 337]
