General Notes: Husband - Daniel Riblet
He left Pennsylvania in 1831 taking his parents, his wife and nine children, and settled on Section 25, Sandusky township, Richland County, Ohio. Here he farmed, then developed a hotel for the convenience of the west-bound emigrants, became Justice of the Peace for eighteen years, sale-crier, and finally served two terms in the Ohio Legislature from 1840-4 and one in the Senate in 1850-1. He ran for Congress, but lacked five votes of election. He left the farm in 1853 and retired to Galion, where he died and was given the biggest funeral ever known in that city.
