General Notes: Husband - Samuel Heilman

---

He was reared in his native township, where he attended the schools of his neighborhood. When he commenced life for himself he engaged in farming, which he followed successfully as long as he lived.
He was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran church, in which he was serving as an elder at the time of his death. He was a strong adherent to the principles of the Democratic party, and had served as tax-collector and as a member of the school board, of which he had been treasurer during a large part of his term of office.
