General Notes: Husband - James Taylor


He and his wife located near the site of Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, in 1780. Both he and his son John located in Conemaugh township, Indianan County, in 1834. [HIC 1880, 372]
He had two brothers who served in the Revolutionary war.


He was a native of County Armagh, Ireland, where he married, and immigrated shortly after his marriage to America. [BHCWC, 557]

He and his wife came to America before the close of the eighteenth century. They located near Greensburg, Pennsylvania, where they remained but a short time, then moved into Salem (Loyalhanna) township, Westmoreland County, and afterwards into Indiana County. He was of the Presbyterian faith and was a member of Ebenezer church of that denomination, where he was buried.
