General Notes: Husband - Hugh Lytle

He was born on the old family homestead in the Ligonier Valley, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and in early manhood began farming on his own account on a tract of land which adjoined his father's farm. He continued to cultivate and improve this land until 1884, when on account of impaired health he retired from active business life and removed to Ligonier, where he later died. He was an elder in the Presbyterian church at Ligonier for many years.
