General Notes: Husband - Mathew A. Lytle

He was born on his father's farm in the Ligonier Valley, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and after attending the common schools pursued a course in bookkeeping in Youngstown, Ohio. For a number of years thereafter he gave his attention to agricultural pursuits, and was then called to public office. In politics he was always a stanch Republican, and in 1894 was elected clerk of the courts of Westmoreland County for three years, and was also deputy prothonotary for three years. In April, 1905, he removed to Greensburg and purchased the bakery business of John McFall, which he then conducted. Like the family, he always adhered to the faith of the Presbyterian church.
