General Notes: Husband - James C. Hamilton
He was educated in the public schools of Sugar Grove township, Warren County, Pennsylvania, and applied himself to agricultural pursuits.
He was justice of the peace for more than fifteen years, and was notary public beginning in 1884, and held most of the town offices. He was surveyor for twenty years.
In politics he was entirely independent of party, and also entertained liberal views on the subject of religion. He was a member of the Ancient Order of United Workmen.
